The Perry High School Culinary program will have a Holiday Cookie Walk this weekend with tons of delicious baked goods.

The cookie walk is this Saturday from 9am until 11am at the high school foyer 1200 18th Street Perry,IA. Perry Culinary Arts Teacher Tina Lutterman explains she is teaching three cooking classes and all the cookies for sale during the walk have been made by the students. She details how this event will work.

“There will be 30 different items that we’ve made and the customer or person coming in gets to walk around the tables they’ll be all set up and on display, they will be given a box and some disposable gloves to be able to go and choose their own item and once they’ve made their selection we will weigh their box at the end.”

The cost will be $15 per pound of baked goods and all the proceeds will go towards a new curriculum for the Family and Consumer Science Programs and other culinary needs.
