The Greene County Historical Society is getting ready to close down its active year with an annual holiday tradition.

The Annual Business Meeting and Holiday Concert will take place this Friday at noon at the Greenwood Center in Jefferson. While historical society members and guests enjoy a $10 lunch, holiday music will be performed by the Greene County High School band and choir students. Additionally, this will be the historical society’s annual business meeting where officers for the next calendar year will be elected, as well as a recap of this year’s events and activities and a preview of the upcoming years programs.

No registration is necessary for the concert and the business meeting. Anyone who is not a member can also attend and can learn more about how to become a historical society member.
