A Dallas Center man died in a single vehicle crash Wednesday morning east of Panora.
According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office crash report, a deputy responded to the incident on Highway 44 at 11:01am and a witness told him that a 2016 Ford F-250 truck was pulling a trailer and was traveling eastbound on Highway 44 when it left the roadway, and the vehicle went into the south ditch. The report shows Panora Emergency Medical Services were on scene providing life saving measures on the driver of the truck, 74-year-old Dennis Tatman of Dallas Center, until Life Light took him to Mercy Medical Center where he died of his injuries. The truck was considered to be a total loss.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office doesn’t believe impairment or intoxication were a factor in the crash.
