All three Greene County high school athletic teams are in action tonight, as is the Paton-Churdan girls and boys’ basketball squads.
Greene County plays basketball vs. non-conference opponent Panorama in Panora in what will be the first games of the season for the Panthers. The Rams hosted Ogden last night to begin their 2022-23 campaigns. Both games from Panora will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with coverage at 5:45 p.m. The girls play at 6 o’clock and the boys will wrap up the evening.
Coach Zach Beekman’s wrestlers host PCM (Monroe) at 6 o’clock, Van Meter at 7, and Ogden at 8 in a season opening quadrangular.
Paton-Churdan sends its basketball teams to Dunlap tonight to face Boyer Valley in Rolling Valley Activities Conference action. Tom Kennedy returns as the coach of the girls and Greg Jacobs starts his tenure with the boys.
