In death he rejoins his parents George and Francis Chayet.

Left to cherish Norton’s memory are his wife, Elizabeth; children, David (Kim) Chayet of Shorewood, MN, Jeffrey Chayet of Altoona, IA, Barry Chayet of Perry, IA, and Randi Peskin of Parkland, FL; nine grandchildren, Tiffany, Christopher, Benjamin, Lauren, Zachary, Kenadi, Alex, Melissa, and Noah; and a sister, Rosalyn Benson of New York City, NY.
