Greene County ISU Extension is governed by a nine-member council.

Five positions on the council were up for the recent election and there were five names on the ballot, all of which were elected to serve. Greene County Extension Director Lori Mannel says two were incumbents, including Pam Olerich and Bruce Bahson and she announces the new members to the council.

“We have three newly elected officials that we’re very excited to have them come and be a part of our team, (including) Tracy Deal from rural Jefferson, Jeff Lamoureux from here in Jefferson, and Keith Pedersen here in Jefferson. So we welcome them. If you see them on the street, thank them for their service to our community.”

The three new council members will replace Jill Rasmussen, Kyle Niles and Jessi Riley who did not seek re-election. The other members of the council who were not up for election include this year’s chair Shari Minnehan, Scott Weber, Dustin Fouch and Brent Badger. Each Extension Council Member serves a four year staggered term.
