The Stuart Police and Fire Departments, along with Stuart Rescue Services are getting geared up for a fun yearly event.

Stuart Police Officer Katie Guisinger says that the departments will be hosting their yearly holiday event, where the community is invited to come and hang out at the fire station. Guisinger tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she really enjoys this coordinated activity.

“As long as I’ve been with the police for it, we’ve been doing this event with the Stuart Fire and Stuart Rescue. That’s kind of during Small Business Saturday. So feel free, you know, very family friendly event, doesn’t cost anything. So come on out, get some lunch, and then you guys can continue shopping in Stuart.”

The event will be tomorrow, from 11am to 1pm. Festivities will include pictures with Santa, cookie decorating, and a lunch of hot dogs, chips and hot chocolate.
