The Adel-Desoto-Minburn School Board approved at their latest meeting to purchase two new gasoline buses.

Superintendent Greg Dufoe says the buses were needed because they are a growing district and its ongoing challenge to keep their bus fleet up to date. He explains they have been on a purchasing cycle of buying at least one bus every year. Dufoe talks about the decision behind sticking with gasoline buses at this time.

“Gas instead of diesel seemed to be a good move for us this year. We’re going to hold off on any movement to electric buses for the time being.”

Dufoe says the two buses will be ready for the next school year.
