The Perry City Council met Monday night in regular session.
The Council approved several appointments and reappointments, including reappointing Police Chief Eric Vaughn as the primary member and Fire Chief Chris Hinds as an alternate member to the 2023 Dallas County E-911 Board, John Andorf was named representative and Eric Vaughn will be the alternate to the Dallas County Emergency Management Commission, reappointed Frank Eiteman to the planning and zoning commission, Amber Green to the board of adjustment and Kim Herrera and Tina Lutterman requests was approved to be reappointed parks and recreation board. They approved the five year airport capital improvement program, certifying tax increment financing debt to the county auditor, the 2022 fiscal year annual report, the Iowa Department of Transportation street finance report, along with the annual urban renewal report.
Additionally, the Council approved the ashared personnel agreement for shared services of the school resource officer with the Perry School District, a service order for capital projects and budgeting software services, and set two public hearings on November 8th for the proposed zoning amendment from agriculture to arterial commercial from a recent annexation of the property on 12155 J Avenue that had automatically defaulted to agricultural and a hearing to repeal and replace Chapter 166 subdivisions of the code of ordinances.
