An annual fun run is happening once again for those who want to get in a healthy activity on turkey day.

The 12th Annual Paton Gobble Gobble 5K Run/Walk will be on Thanksgiving, with the race to begin at 8:30am at the Paton Shelter House. The registration fee is three non-perishable food items that will be donated to the food pantry in Jefferson, the Greene County Action Resource Center. Pumpkin pies will be given to the top male and female finishers, along with the male and female that guess closest to their race time. 

Additionally, participants can also purchase Gobble Gobble hats from Community State Bank before Thursday’s race for $15. The color combinations to choose from are red and black, as well as orange and black. No pre-registration is necessary for the 5K.
