The Panorama School Board met in regular session Monday.
The Board discussed the voluntary retirement incentive program that Superintendent Shawn Holloway said the district has had in place for a few years. Holloway mentioned the program was up for discussion, because while it’s nice to have it, the Board wasn’t sure if they wanted to use it at the moment.
“So we’ve offered that the past few years, and discussion around that was really about the teacher shortage. Does it make sense to incentivize somebody to retire if we’re going to have trouble finding their position?”
Other things the Board discussed were the School Budget Review Committee application for open enrollment, quarterly personal day drawings for employees, and they set a public hearing for conveyance of property.
