A solar energy company that is looking to establish solar panels near Grand Junction is hosting an open house.
NationalGrid Renewables invites everyone to the event on Monday, November 21st from 5:30-7:30pm at the Grand Junction Community Center. Grand Junction Solar LLC must have a public open house as part of its process to apply for a conditional use permit through the Greene County Board of Adjustment and specifically targeting the landowners within 1,000 feet of the project.
The Grand Junction Solar Project is a 100 megawatt solar panel farm with an option for battery storage. The area is about 0.5 miles south of Grand Junction. The transmission grid via a new substation will be tied into an existing substation at 240th Street and U Avenue.
This come and go open house allows any concerned citizen to ask questions and representatives from NationalGrid Renewals will be there to answer them.
