The Perry School Board met on Monday. 

The Board approved a construction bid from Sand Construction to remodel the kitchen in the Perry Elementary for $1.5 million. They then approved  a student teaching agreement with Grand View University for the year of 2022-2023 and a computer science professional development incentive fund endorsement grant from the Iowa Department of Education. 

Also the Board approved  Saturday detention pay of $100, authorized the district’s administration to submit a request to the School Budget Review Committee in the amount of $121,415 for excess cost to the Limited English Proficiency program, authorized the district’s administration to submit requests to the School Budget Review committee in the amount of $171,980 for the maximum on-time funding modified supplemental amount for increasing enrollment and authorized the district’s administration to submit a request to the school budget review committee in the amount of 187,474 for maximum modified supplemental amount for providing english language learner program for students who exceeded five years of weighted funding for the fall of 2022. 

Finally they approved a request of $500 to go to the junior prom class and the Board heard about an Elementary student starting an after school reading club for third through fifth grade.
