Thursday, November 10th

3:44am: An Officer was advised of a noise complaint in the 500 block of E. Garfield St. The Officer spoke to those involved and warned them about the noise.

4:16pm: An Officer was advised of a careless driver on Highway 30, traveling toward Jefferson. The Officer did not locate the vehicle.

7:35pm: An Officer was advised of a dog running at large in the 400 block of S. Locust St. The Officer transported the dog to PAWS.

9:56pm: An Officer was advised of a dog running at large in the 600 block of N. Vine. The Officer transported the dog to PAWS.

10:15pm: A traffic stop, at Oak St. and Lincoln Way, resulted in Douglas Fulton, of Jefferson, being arrested for O.W.I. – 1st, Operating an Unregistered Vehicle, Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability, and Driving While License Suspended.

******* An Officer issued a citation to Emily Fisher, of Jefferson, for “Violation – Financial Liability Coverage”, after originally issuing a “repair order” that was not satisfied.

Friday, November 11th

3:58am: An Officer assisted Greene County EMS in the 500 block of W. Stanford St.

7:42am: An Officer issued a “Parking Violation Notice”, to Michelle Gibertson, of Jefferson, in the 300 block of S. High St.

8:19am: A State Trooper requested an Officer assist with a traffic stop at Highway 30 and Grimmell Rd. The Officer provided a subject a courtesy ride to another location.

2:36pm: An Officer was called to the 1200 block of W. Lincoln Way in regard to a deceased deer on private property. The Officer contacted the DNR to grant the property owner permission to move it.

3:38pm: A traffic stop at Mulberry St. and Gallup Rd. resulted in Kane Borgeson, of Ogden, being issued a citation for “Dark Windows”.

4:02pm: An Officer was called to the 100 block of W. Madison St. in regard to a dog that was outside. The caller felt it had been outside for an excessive amount of time because of the temperature at the time. The Officer checked the area but did not locate the dog.

5:19pm: An Officer was called to the 400 block of N. Cedar St. in regard to a juvenile that was acting out and left the residence. The Officer helped locate the juvenile and arrange assistance for the family.

10:25pm: An Officer was called to a business in the 200 block of E. Gallup Rd. in regard to a “payment dispute”. The Officer provided advice.

10:31pm: An Officer was called to the 500 block of N. Wilson St. in regard to a cat running at large. The Officer could not locate the owner.

******* As the result of an investigation that started on August 23, 2022, Jessie Sanders and Avery Madison, both of Jefferson, have each been charged with “Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana 1st”, and “Possession of Drug paraphernalia”. Arrest Warrants were requested.

Saturday, November 12th

5:01am: An Officer assisted Greene County EMS in the 1000 block of W. Adams St.

11:53am: An Officer assisted a pedestrian near Highway 30 and Grimmell Rd.

10:11pm: An Officer spoke to a subject from Churdan who reported that their eighteen-year-old daughter had their vehicle and had not returned home when expected.  The Officer located the vehicle, and the subject, in Jefferson. The issue was resolved.

Sunday, November 13th

11:39am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Head Streets resulted in James Book of AR. Being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

11:59am: A Traffic Stop at Lincoln Way and Walnut Streets resulted in Miranda Schlicht being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

2:06pm: Ora Stevens reported two dogs in his yard at 306 North Vine Street. The officer located the animals and followed them home to the 600 Block of West State. The owner located a spot in the fence that was open. The animals were returned to the owner.

3:02pm: Bailey Barney reported being harassed by a known male. The officer advised Barney to send the subject a text advising them to end all contact and block the number.

3:34pm: Kelly Greving requested assistance with a juvenile son at 302 South Wilson Ave. The officer assisted in the matter.

7:43pm: Officers assisted a motorist, who had a dog lock them out of the vehicle at 104 North Locust Street.

7:44pm: Vince Ratliff reported Suspicious Activity in the 100 Block of West Vest Street. The officers spoke to the subject and deemed nothing suspicious was occurring.

9:09pm: An officer assisted a semi driver, who had locked themselves out of the truck at 606 Hwy. 30 East.

9:09pm: A caller advised a neighbor’s trunk had been open for several hours in the 400 Block of North Grimmell Road. The officer advised the subject he had left his trunk open.

9:28pm: Bruce Binkley requested assistance with a family disturbance at 300 East State Street. The officer arrived and learned a mother and juvenile female had been involved in a verbal argument. The juvenile with home with the grandparents to let things cool off.
