With Panorama winter sports about to pick up, I sat down with Panorama boys basketball coach Nick Peasley.
The shot clock will be a new factor for the 2022-23 season. This would provide another element to practice. However, it wouldn’t change much for Panorama. Coach Peasley said, “For us, honestly, it doesn’t really make a difference. We have drills that we incorporate. We call it 35 seconds of perfect defense. All that stuff we have ran even without the shot clock. So, for us I think we already benefit from that. Because it’s something we did every day in practice.”
Coach Peasley also would go on share a his optimism for the season. “We are blessed with some great kids and guys that want to play. That want to come out and compete. Compete for a spot and help our program be successful.”
The 2022-23 season will start with a scrimmage against Keumper Catholic on Nov. 22nd. The first official game will be Nov. 29 against Greene County.
