Camping is something many people enjoy, and according to Guthrie County Conservation Director Brad Halterman, 2022 was no exception.
He says that the camping season was just as busy as the two previous summers, but the dynamic of who came in was a little different. Halterman tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the amount of out of state and long distance campers was lower than in previous years, but that the amount of local campers that came out made up for it.
Halterman mentions that much of the weather during the spring, summer and fall was perfect for camping, and that many made the most of it.
