After today, the daytime temperatures will dramatically shift downward.
Weatherology Meteorologist Paul Trambley says temperatures begin to drop down on Friday with a blast of arctic air coming through Iowa. The colder air will bring with it daytime highs in the 30s, with overnight lows into the teens and even lower.
“Definitely our longest spell of some of these chilly temperatures and as we get into the first half of next week. So I think it’ll last for at least a week here for us starting on Friday and then maybe a little bit of reprieve here and there after that leading into Thanksgiving but definitely looks to trend on a colder than average side of things in general.”
Trambley adds there’s some possibilities of snow showers during that time as well.
