The weather might be nice today, but there is a chance for severe weather to happen tomorrow.
Weatherology Meteorologist Paul Trambley tells Raccoon Valley Radio there is potential for some severe weather heading to the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area on Thursday, with high winds the main threat.
“We may even see some winds that are in the severe level but are not associated with thunderstorms with this cold front that’s going to blast through the area on Thursday. So even without storms these winds that are produced by the cold front could even get us up around 50 or so miles per hour, just with the front itself and not associated with any thunderstorm activities.”
Trambley adds there won’t be too much rainfall that comes with this weather pattern, with an estimated 0.10 inches of rain. According to the National Weather Service, most of the rainfall is expected to happen Thursday morning, but winds will sustain throughout the day.
