The Perry City Council met Monday

The Council approved Josh Wuebker to be the next Public Works Director at the salary of $85,000 and also approved the job for the Public Works Superintendent position.

Next, the Council approved to purchase a Reliant Fire Apparatus for $717,247 with the Assistance To Firefighters grant covering roughly 65 percent of the quote which will leave the city will pay $23,000. They approved the tree agreement which will state the city has control of removing dead ash trees in the right of way unless the residents wish to not have the tree removed. 

The Council also approved setting street cut and curb cut fees for $25 per square foot and $25 per linear foot, the Professional Services Agreement with Bolton & Menk for the Violet Hill Cemetery Expansion Plan and an application to the EPA for a Brownfields Community Wide Assessment Grant.

The Council will address old business and approved an application for a CDBG from IEDA for a Comprehensive Neighborhood Revitalization Planning Grant, they approved two pay applications for the 2020 Downtown Street and Utility Improvements project and the for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements. And approved Additions to the Fire Department Roster that includes Micaela Heimerman and Brendan Smith.
