Monday, November 7th
12:03am: A deputy investigated a car deer accident on D Avenue near 177th Street. Cynthia Hatting 55 of Glidden struck a deer with a 2010 Chevrolet Impala causing an estimated 1,000 dollars damage.
4:43pm: A deputy assisted an Iowa State Patrolman with an arrest on W Avenue near 220th Street. A suspected undocumented immigrant who provided a false identification card was arrested for providing false identification and driving while denied or revoked.
6:11pm: The Sheriff, a deputy, an Iowa State Patrolman, Paton Fire Department, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a two-vehicle accident on X Avenue and 130th Street. Abel Rodriquez 46 of Des Moines was traveling South on X Avenue and stopped at the stop sign in a 1999 Chevrolet 1500. Daniel pulled out into the intersection and was struck in the driver’s side. Craig Roberts 63 of Jefferson was westbound on 130th in a 2016 Toyota AV. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident. Both vehicles deployed airbags. A passenger of the truck was transported for suspected injuries by Grand Junction Rescue to the Greene County Medical Center. Craig was transported by Greene County Ambulance with minor injuries to the Greene County Medical Center. Abel Rodriquez was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.
6:20pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 600 block of State Street, Scranton.
11:37pm: A suspected undocumented immigrant who’s real name is unknown was booked into the jail for driving while revoked or denied and providing false identification.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
