It is Election Day and Greene County voters are reminded to cast their ballots at their designated polling place.
As a reminder, Jefferson 1 and 2 precincts are voting at the Greene County Community Center, the north precinct is at the Churdan Community Center, Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds is for the central precinct, the west precinct location is the Scranton Community Center and the east precinct is voting at St. Brigid’s Parish Center in Grand Junction. Polls are open from 7am-8pm today.
There is one locally contested race for Greene County Supervisor District 3 with Dan Benitz running as the Republican against Democrat Mike Holden. Current Supervisor for District 3 Tom Contner is not seeking re-election. All other county-elected offices are unopposed with incumbents seeking re-election, including Supervisor District 2 Dawn Rudolph, County Recorder Deb McDonald, County Treasurer Katlynn Mechaelsen, and County Attorney Thomas Laehn.
Once the polls are closed, Raccoon Valley Radio will provide the unofficial election results later tonight during the top of the 9-11pm hours on three of our stations, including KGRA 98.9FM.
