The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center Lady Chargers are ready for the basketball season as practice has started for most High School teams around Iowa.
Head Coach Brad Baudler is coming off a season where his team finished in the upper half of the West Central Activities Conference with a (8-7) conference record and (11-11) regular season record. Baudler tells Raccoon Valley Sports that his roster is more experienced this year with three seniors and six juniors.
“ So those nine are going to be somebody that we can lean on and they already kind of know what to expect. So I’m not going to have to sit there and reteach a lot of things. So from that perspective, I feel like we’re already kind of a week ahead of the game or two weeks. They already know what to do and what we want to do. So I’m excited for that because I think we can start off quicker than what we have in years past and move forward that way.”
The AC/GC Lady Chargers will play in a scrimmage against Boone High School in Boone on November 15th.
