The Adel-Desoto Minburn School District recently approved to start up their very own esports club.

Superintendent Greg Dufoe says that the energy behind this program has been exciting and he expects 40 to 50 students to participate. Dufoe explains that activities like these are a driving force for students to stay on top of their school work. 

“Staying connected with their school and some sort of an activity, whether that’s Speech football band and now EA Sports. So we think this is another avenue that will create a lot of appeal to some of our students who may not feel like they’re connected.”

Dufoe expects the esports program to have their first competition in the fall.
