Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center is getting ready for winter weather.
In the most recent school board meeting, the board went over their inclement weather plan.
AC/GC Superintendent Josh Rasmussen tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the district looks at weather reports from the National Weather Service in Des Moines, discusses with the Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management teams, and checks the roads to see what they’ll do when winter weather hits.
If the schools end up with a late start or cancellation, Rasmussen says they then contact parents and the local radio so that everyone can be notified.
