2:27am: An officer located an Open Door at 1108 North Elm Street. The officer secured the building after checking inside.

2:43am: An officer located an Open Door and secured the business at 507 West Wall Street.

3:12am: An officer located an Open Door and secured the business at 106 North Wilson Ave.

8:15am: Curtis Burkhart reported he believed he had been scammed by a female on-line. He advised he had been chatting with the female, who began asking for money to come to Jefferson and meet him. He electronically sent $450.00 to the female. He was advised to end contact with the subject and change his banking information.

8:50am: Wayne Phipps spoke with an officer about issues with a neighbor. The matter was deemed to be civil by the officer.

11:07am: Megan Wright reported two horses loose in the area of 250th and Elm Street. The officer learned the horses belonged to a subject out in the county and the subject was contacted by phone.

11:41am: Nick Parris reported a careless Semi Driver on 220th Street, heading west towards Jefferson. The officer followed the reported vehicle and did not see any infractions or issues.

4:50pm: Steve Murphy requested a Welfare Check on a subject in the 400 Block of Brackett Street. The officer made contact with the subject, who was fine.

3:25pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1600 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Kirk Geisler of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

6:11pm: Justin Murphy reported three juveniles climbing on the fence of the overpass on North Elm Street. The officer located the three juveniles in the area and spoke to them about the dangers of their behavior.

6:38pm: Heather Dobney reported her daughter’s backpack was Lost/Stolen at Russell Park. The bag contained a Chrome Book, which belongs to the school.

6:58pm: Officers assisted the Mobile Crisis Workers a in the 300 Block of South Wilson Ave. A juvenile male was found to be suicidal and the officer transported them to ER to be evaluated by a doctor.

6:20pm: An officer spoke to Rich Burkhardt at the jail. Burkhardt voiced his concerns with local officer and several government agencies. He left the building a few minutes later.
