The Adair-Casey/ Guthrie Center football team will not be playing football this Friday for the first time since late August, while the season ended in a loss to Underwood.

AC/GC put together another winning season with a play off victory. This season included some high achievements from a six game winning streak to becoming the co leader in the state 1A in rushing yards. Coach Matthewson says there was a lot to be proud of.

“We won three games that first year, 2018 and that was a big stepping stone for us. So to sit here and be going (7-3) and (9-2) in the last couple of years, you know that that’s that’s the new standard, That’s the new expectation. And like I told the kids after the game, that’s that’s a legacy they’ve passed on and now it’s the torch has been passed and we’ll be passed and expect the same exact things out of us year and year out.”

The Chargers will graduate ten seniors and welcome a class of eight seniors next year.
