Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers football is gearing up for a 3A state quarterfinal game on Friday night against the North Polk Comets.
For Tigers football, one of the things that they’ve done extremely well this year has been to establish their run game, as they have been able to rush for at least 250 team yards in nine out of their ten games, all of those being wins for the Tigers.
In class 3A, junior running back Brevin Doll is 3rd in total rushing yards at 1,285, and junior quarterback Aiden Flora is 5th in the class in rushing yardage with 1,135 yards. Flora is first in the state in yards per carry with 11.1 and Doll fourth in yards per carry with 8.5.
In the first matchup for Doll and Flora against North Polk, Doll was able to rush for 181 yards and three touchdowns while Flora had 117 yards rushing.
North Polk also has a 1,000 yard rusher in Brady Miller, who had a 100 plus yard game in the first matchup against ADM. Weather could be adventurous this Friday, and whoever is able to establish their good ground games will give each other a good opportunity to go to the state semifinals.
