The Adel Public Library is having a special program this week that allows for the youth to use foam toy guns.

Patron Services Manager Amy Puck says they will have a nerf gun battle at the library this Friday at 2pm for children in grades second through fifth. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio this activity allows for children to break one rule in the library just for this program.

“One of the main draws for this particular activity is we let them run in the library, we let them yell and scream in the library. We let them play music very loudly in the library and they get a big kick out of just enjoying running through the stacks of books and trying to hit each other with nerf guns.”

All supplies needed for this free activity will be provided by the library.
