ADM Tigers football was at home on Friday night for their round of 16 3A state playoff football matchup against the Grinnell Tigers, and ADM was able to play with great precision and execution as they were able to come away with a victory 56-0. The Tigers were able to move to 9-1 on the season while Grinnell ends their season at 5-5.
ADM was able to score just over a minute into the game as Brevin Doll was able to score a five yard rushing touchdown to make it 7-0. After a stop, Aiden Flora was able to get a pair of touchdown passes one to Cade Morse and another to Vince Benetti to make it 21-0. The Tigers would tack on two more touchdowns in the 2nd quarter as Flora ran one in as well as Doll found the endzone again to make it 35-0 at half.
The turbo clock was able to make an impact in the second half, as the Tigers were able to put up three more touchdowns as well as force four turnovers in the half, one of them a punt block that was recovered by Dane Beals in the endzone.
ADM Tigers football had the roar of their fans behind them all night long, as fans were jazzed up during the home playoff game.
With the victory, the Tigers advance to the state quarterfinals where they will have a home game next Friday night against the North Polk Comets. North Polk is coming off of a win over Creston on Friday night. The Tigers were able to win the matchup between the two teams earlier this year, 29-20. Kick time from Tiger Stadium will be at 7 pm, with wonderful play-by-play coverage of the game to be on True Country K1079, the KKRF app, and raccoonvalleyradio.com. If ADM wins, they would advance to the dome for the first time since 2011.
