Today is the first of two days of Iowa High School State Coed Cross-Country races north of Ft. Dodge at Kennedy Park. Greene County High School sophomore Noah Hinote is the lone Ram to qualify. He was eleventh in a 2A boys’ qualifying race on Oct. 20 in Shenandoah. The top 15 individuals were State qualifiers.
Hinote runs in the 2A boys’ race at 2:45 p.m. today and weather conditions look favorable with a high temperature around 60 degrees and light winds with partly sunny skies.
Head Coach Jeff Lamoureux told Raccoon Valley Radio that Hinote was the first Greene County runner to make it to State in cross-country since Haley Hall in 2017. He’s believed to be the first boy from here in 10 years to run at State.
All three Raccoon Valley Radio Stations will have reports today and tomorrow covering area State cross-country runners.
