Paton-Churdan Middle Schoolers got an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while also taking in some physical activity.

P-C Counselor Libby Towers says the 6th-8th grade students rode their bikes on the Sauk Rail Trail from Maple River to Lake View last Friday. The students were challenged to ride their bikes for 20 miles and they also got to have a pizza lunch at Speaker Park in Lake View. Tower notes this was not only an opportunity for kids to be physically active, but enjoy social time with friends and see the fall colors on the trail.

There were several volunteers that helped including Jon Duckett, Marcia Tasler, Whitney Minnehan and Team Spin helped transport the 50 bikes to and from the trail.
