Three Dallas Center – grimes Mustangs cross country runners are gearing up for the state race this upcoming Saturday at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge, as they will be seeing a stacked 4A field.

On the boys side Jack Every and AJ Angus will be the representatives, while Maddie Stevens will be the lone representative for the girls, as all runners will be looking to put up their best times of the season. In the state qualifier in Council Bluffs, Every who was able to finish with an 11th place finish and a time of 16 minutes 55 seconds, Angus got a 14th place finish and time of 17 minutes 8 seconds. Stevens got a time of 20 minutes 44 seconds which was good for 13th in that race.

DCG this year, and despite neither team qualifying for state, they were able to hold their own and put up good results nearly every race against tremendous competition.

All of these runners have been able to put up really good times in their final race of the season. Stevens will be racing with the rest of the 4A field at 2:00, while Every and Angus will both be racing at 2:45.
