Mc Kinley Robbins

Greene County senior McKinley Robbins announced his commitment to attend Oregon State University in Corvalis and continue his wrestling career. Robbins is the first Division I wrestler from Greene County high school and one of the few recruited at that level in the past 45 years from the Jefferson based program.

Robbins is the only Ram to qualify for the Iowa State Tournament finals his first three years of high school and he won a Class 2A State Championship in 2021 while finishing second in 2020 and ’22. He topped 100 career wins as a junior and is on pace to be the program’s all-time wins leader with his senior season in front of him.

OSU was second in the PAC-12 last March and the Beavers had four All-Americans at the NCAA tournament. They twelfth place finish was the best in the past three decades. There are six schools that have wrestling in the PAC-12. Joining Oregon State are Arizona State, Stanford, Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, and Little Rock (Arkansas).
