The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The Board discussed the renewal of property and liability insurance policies with State Street Insurance Agent Becky Benton. The Board agreed due to rising inflation to increase the insured value on county buildings by 10 percent along with increasing the insured value for personal items that include desks and chairs by three percent. Any tools that are valued under $10,000 were given a separate category and increased by five percent. That category is currently valued at $505,000.

Benton told the board that she’s found a market for cyber liability that will go up to $15 million in coverage, if there is less than $1 billion in revenue. After some discussion, it was decided that Benton would get quotes for coverage of $10 million and $15 million and bring those quotes back for further discussion.

Then the Board approved Tom Masters as the County Weed Commissioner, a liquor license for the Guthrie Center Fire Department and canceled the November 8th meeting, due to it being Election Day.
