The Panora City Council met Monday. 

The Council held a public hearing on the application regarding the community development block grant housing upper story conversion and then approved the item. The application is for the property on 113th Main Street and for the amount of $550,000 of community development block grant funds. The funds would allow the building to be converted into an apartment with multiple rooms.

Also they approved a LMI grant of $15,000 and approved a rebate in the terms and conditions of the historic downtown business commercial district facade rebate program in the amount of $10,000, contingent upon grant award.The Council approved the official zoning map that was requested by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Finally, the Council approved documents that are required by the CDBG program.  They did not take action on the four violations of parking a camping in the right of way and left it the Panora Police’s discretion.
