The Adel Public Library has a couple of youth programs happening this week.
On Tuesday will be Comics and Cookies for second through fifth graders at 4pm. Patron Services Librarian Amy Puck says this is a group of kids that discuss graphic novels.
“This month’s book, I believe, is about the ‘Wizard of Oz.’ So it’s a really fun story that most people are familiar with that they can take home and read.”
Puck adds, as the name implies, they will also have cookies on hand for participants. She says another program will be for teens in grades 6th-12th with Teen Make Space on Thursday at 4pm.
“Our Teen Maker Space is one of the most popular teen programs we have. We provide crafting materials. Typically it’s going to be a themed-craft and I believe this coming 27th will be a Halloween-themed craft.”
Materials include markers, paints, pencils, glitter, glue, tape, stickers and more. This program will also have free treats for participants. Both programs are free and take place at the library.
