A Perry man was charged with a felony for an alleged domestic abuse incident.
According to court documents, a Perry Police Officer responded to a call from the victim of an assault incident at 6:06pm on Thursday, October 13th. Court documents show that the victim has injuries that were from a physical altercation with a family member.
Forty-four-year-old Shane Smith was arrested and charged with a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for domestic abuse assault. A protective order is also in place for the victim. Smith was booked into the Dallas County Jail and held under a $2,000 bond.
