The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center Chargers traded scores with Treynor all night but was able to come away victorious over the Cardinals in round one of the High School football playoffs.
There were eight lead changes in the AC/GC versus Treynor game but the Chargers won 34-29 with a defensive stand at the end of the game. The Cardinals were ahead at halftime 14 to 13 but the Chargers would score 21 points in the second half to ultimately close out the game. Austin Kunkle had a big day on the ground which included a 19 yard and 60 yard touchdown and 142 yards rushing. Brock Littler added 63 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Seth Reno carried the ball 23 times for 101 yards and Payton Jacobe had six tackles and multiple tackles for a loss.
