Wednesday night the West Central Valley volleyball team finished up their season in a hard fought game against the Grand View Christian Thunder. The Wildcats made the Thunder work for the win, falling 18-25, 16-25, and 12-25 in the three sets respectively.

The Football team is in action tonight, as they travel to Woodward to take on the Woodward-Granger Hawks in the first round of their playoff bracket. Both teams are coming into the game with a record of 5-3, and having won their last three games.

Looking at statistical leaders for the season, senior Carter Moran leads Woodward-Granger in passing yards, with 1544 yards and 14 touchdowns on 112 completions, and adding 333 rushing yards and 7 rushing touchdowns. Fellow senior Dylan McCaulley leads the Hawks in rushing yards with 592 yards and 9 touchdowns on 72 carries, and adding 165 receiving yards and 1 receiving touchdown. Another senior, Dane Polich, leads Woodward-Granger in receiving yards, collecting 560 yards and 5 touchdowns on 32 receptions. Junior Oliver Potter leads the Hawks in total tackles with 86 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss of yards, 5.5 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries.

For West Central Valley, junior Nate Gerling leads in passing yards, with 515 yards and 3 touchdowns on 28 completions, and adding 65 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. Senior Kaedon Lindsay leads the team in both rushing yards and total tackles, collecting 538 yards and 10 touchdowns on 119 carries, with 52.5 total tackles, 5 tackles for a loss of yards and 1 interception. Fellow senior Braiden Beane leads the Wildcats in receiving yards with 158 yards and one 1 touchdown on 8 receptions, and adding 504 rushing yards and 5 rushing touchdowns.
