Thursday, October 20th

3:10am: An Officer located an unsecured business door in the 600 block of East Lincoln Way. The Officer found nothing suspicious and the door was secured.

8:08am: An Officer was dispatched to the Greene County Middle School for a student found in possession of a “vape” device. The Officer issued a citation to the minor student for “Person under 21 Using Tobacco / Vapor Product”

10:57am: The Ames Police Department requested the assistance of the Jefferson Police Department regarding an ongoing investigation involving a person living in Jefferson. The Officer assisted as requested.

2:03pm: Jerry Hall of Scranton reported a friend who was locked out of their residence in the 500 block of South Vine Street. The Officer assisted in gaining entry to the residence.

4:15m: Sharlene Ford of Jefferson reported a broken window in her residence having occurred earlier that day. The Officer is investigating.

8:53pm: An Officer performed a traffic stop in the 1900 Block of North Grimmell Road. As a result of the traffic stop, Samantha Palmer of Farnhamville was issued a citation for, “Operating a Non-Registered Vehicle”

11:40pm: An Officer provided traffic for the Greene County Ambulance while assisting with a medical call.

******* As a result of an investigation started on September 9, 2022, Kaylin Small of Jefferson was charged with “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia” and “Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana” As a result of an investigation started on September 9, 2022, Jude McIntire-Reynolds was charged with “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia” and “Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana”
