A local movie theater will be showing a film that was written by a native of Stuart and filmed in Iowa.
The Stuart Fremont Theater will be showing a G.I. Joe fan film called Crimson Archer which was produced by Pierre Doanetto but written by Eric Bench who is from Stuart. Bench says this movie is kid friendly that provides action of the G.I. Joe’s battle with the fictional terrorist organization called COBRA . He tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the plot of the movie.
“The G.I. Joe organization, they think that the government thinks that COBRA is no longer a threat. And so they’re starting to kind of wind down the organization and have members go to various divisions of the military. And this is a situation where they are trying to prove that there is still a threat with COBRA. And, of course, we demonstrate that COBRA is still a threat when one of the G.I. Joes, Scarlet gets captured.”
Bench notes that the Crimson Archer will be playing on October 30th at 4pm with no ticket required and all the proceeds going to the Stuart Fire Department.
“The Stuart Fire Department has been such a great thing for this community for as long as I am alive and it all just worked out really well.”
Bench thanks the owner of the Stuart Fremont Theater Eric Tiernan for making this event happen.
