Dallas Center – Grimes cross country will be looking to put up a sharp performance on Wednesday afternoon when they participate in their 4A state qualifying race in Council Bluffs.

The schools that will be running in this race include Council Bluffs, Abraham Lincoln, Council Bluffs, Thomas Jefferson, Des Moines Lincoln, Dowling Catholic, Sioux City East, Sioux City North, Sioux City West, West Des Moines Valley, and Waukee.

This is the first time that the Mustangs are racing at the 4A level to qualify for state. This is a team that has a lot of tradition at the 3A level, with the boys the three time defending state champion and the girls finishing in the top 3 the last few years.

The event will be taking place at Iowa Western Community College through Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln. The girls race will be taking place at 4 pm and the boys race will be happening at 4:40 pm.
