Early voting for the midterm November elections is now underway across Iowa.

Dallas County Auditor Julia Helm tells Raccoon Valley Radio eligible county voters can cast their ballot now at her office at 210 North 10th Street in Adel Monday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm. She says voters can also mail a request for an absentee ballot to her office by 5pm on October 24th to have a ballot mailed to them. 

Helm points out for those who have not yet registered, but who are eligible to vote, can do so by filling out a voter registration form on the county’s or the Secretary of State’s website. She reminds registered voters who recently moved within the county to make sure you update your voter registration to reflect your new address.

“We have to put you in your correct precinct because as you know we have ballot styles per precinct. So if you live in Perry 1, you have a unique ballot style for you and if you move from Perry 1 to Perry 2, Perry 2, even though you might have the same people on the ballot, I need to place you in that precinct because we report all (election) results by precinct.” 

Helm adds there will be a satellite voting location in Perry at the McCreary Community Center on November 2nd from 1-7pm.
