Monday, October 17th

1:58am: An Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of West Washington Street for a business alarm activation. The Officer checked the property and found nothing suspicious. An employee was advised of the alarm activation.

2:32am: While on patrol, an Officer located an open business door in the 100 block of North Chestnut Street. The Officer checked the property and found nothing suspicious. An employee was notified and secured the door.

8:55am: Nicole Murphy of Jefferson reported possible harassment. The Officer is investigating.

9:00am: Tim Webb of Jefferson reported possible harassment. The Officer is investigating.

9:05am: David Dideriksen of Jefferson reported possible harassment. The Officer investigated and found criminal harassment was not occurring.

1:05pm: Tina McPherson of Jefferson requested a welfare check on a family member. The Officer performed the check and assisted as needed.

3:20pm: While on patrol an Officer noticed a semi-truck / trailer with a large amount of smoke coming from under it. The Officer assisted the driver with the mechanical issue.

3:40pm: An anonymous caller reported suspicious behavior occurring near their residence. The Officer is investigating the complaint.

7:34pm: Brittany Cory of Bayard reported a truck towing another vehicle in the 1000 block of East Lincoln Way. The vehicle being towed did not have lights activated and was interfering with the flow of traffic. The Officer searched for the vehicles and did not find them.

9:17pm: Laura Smith of Jefferson reported water leaking from the ground near Russell Park. The Officer located the water leak in the 400 block of South Chestnut Street. The City Water Department was advised of the issue.

******** As a result of an investigation started on August 3, 2022, Eric William Chrystal was charged with “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia” and “Possession of Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine”
