The Greenfield Main Street wants the community to participate in city wide meetings.

Main Street Director Stacie Eshelman says the Southern Iowa Council of Governments will be holding two separate meetings to take information and ideas from the attendees. Eshelman tells Raccoon Valley Radio these meetings are important for the SICOG region to know what economic development the community needs.

Well, I think it’s really important for them to kind of know what’s on our bucket list of projects that the communities might be working towards so that they can start looking for funding sources and providing technical assistance and planning, and as Council of Governments do, to kind of help aid in those things and maybe help communities prioritize, like what’s the most important on our list because we all have many things that need to be done.”

The first meeting will be at the 5×80 Country Club on October 27th at 5:30pm and the second meeting will be at the Warren Cultural Center on October 31st at noon. Food will be provided at both presentations. The events are free but those who want to participate must pre register by this Friday. That information will be listed below.
