
Last Thursday saw plenty of action for fans of West Central Valley Athletics. The Cross Country teams and volleyball team were all in action, and saw some good results. The cross country team saw several runners set personal records, and had a few medalers as well. For the high school girls, Taitlin Koch set a personal record, and placed 7th overall. For the middle school girls, Dallas Morgan was able to medal by coming in 9th place for the team.
The volleyball team was able to finish off the regular season on a high note, by taking down the Interstate 35 Roadrunners 3-1 in 4 sets. The Wildcats took the first set in a hard fought 29-27 win, but dropped the second set to the Roadrunners 22-25. West Central Valley came back in the next sets though, and scored 25-9 and 25-20 respectively.
During the game, seniors Kinsey Alt and Bethany Speichinger hit some career highs. Alt was able to hit the 700 mark in career digs, while Speichinger broke 750 career assists.
