The Guthrie County Extension and Outreach has started an initiative that serves farmers around the county.

Regional Extension Education Director Rich Wrage says they have started their third annual “Fall Feel Good” initiative that spreads awareness about mental health during a busy harvest season. Wrage explains they have delivered bags full of resources to around 45 farmers so far in the month of October.

“The goal is to deliver 100 farmers these stress relief kits. And those names are self nominated by their peers. So if they deliver a kit, they’ll say, Well, who else do you think would be which we should go see? So they’ll get a name and a number from that farmer and keep going until we’ve done 100 presentations, hopefully in the month of October.”
