The inside track to a district championship was on the line on Friday night in Harlan, as the ADM Tigers and Cyclones matched up in a top three matchup in 3A. Harlan was able to put up four different touchdowns of at least 45 yards in the first half and never looked back, winning 42-7.
ADM is now 6-1 on the year while Harlan counters with the same record while grabbing their 6th straight win in the process.
ADM started with the football and went three and out on their first drive, while Harlan was able to get have quarterback Teagon Kasperbauer throw a 56 yard passing touchdown to Cade Sears to grab a quick lead. They would expand it when Kasperbauer would find running back Aiden Hall for a 46 yard score to make 14-0 halfway through the first quarter.
ADM countered with a good 80 yard drive finished by a 13 yard rushing touchdown by Brevin Doll as the Tigers trailed 14-7 after 1. Kasperbauer would find Sears twice in the second quarter as they took a 28-7 into the locker room.
Both teams didn’t score on their first drive in the third, but Harlan returned to the end zone with a 27 yard passing touchdown to make it 35-7, and tacked on a touchdown in the 4th for insurance.
Kasperbauer ends the night with five passing touchdowns, putting up major numbers throughout.
The seven points for ADM was a season low, and the lowest output since in a game since a 14-7 loss to Bondurant-Farrar in 2020. It was 37 points below their average.
Tiger football returns home next week to welcome Knoxville for senior night, as they still have a lot of football left with 2 weeks in the regular season.
