Wednesday, October 5th
1:10am: An officer was advised of a possible Inappropriate Touch, which occurred in Jefferson, between a juvenile and a family member. The reporting party did not wish to pursue a criminal investigation. The officer contacted DHS to investigate.
8:04am: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Peggy Sanders of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
9:22am: An officer arrested Sirjohn Daniel Wilder, 38 of Jefferson, at the courthouse. Wilder had two outstanding Jefferson Police Department Arrest Warrants for, “ 2nd Degree Harassment – Aggravated and Assault – Simple.” The warrants are from an incident on 09/24/2022, at the Super 8 Motel.
10:11am: Melinda Madison requested an officer at 205 North Walnut Street during a Civil Property Exchange.
11:50am: An officer was flagged down in the 200 Block of West Lincoln Way by a motorist experiencing Mechanical Issues. The subject was able to start the vehicle and drove away.
11:58am: Marcus Feine requested Traffic Control at Lincoln Way and Lincoln Place, while he backed his delivery semi off of Lincoln Place onto Lincoln Way. The officer assisted in the process.
3:06pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 306 South Vine Street. The officer met with employees and determined it was a False Alarm.
4:35pm: Home State Bank advised of a counterfeit $20.00 Bill, which came in a local business deposit. The officer took custody of the bill to send to the Secret Service.
Thursday, October 6th
1:14am: An officer located an Open Door at 501 West Greenewood Road.
2:07pm: An officer assisted Hy Vee Security with advising an employee they would be suspended from employment.
3:00pm: Nancy Scherle reported an Unauthorized Withdrawal from her bank account.
7:12pm: A Welfare Check on a juvenile was requested. The officer made contact with the juvenile and family. The juvenile advised she was fine.
9:49pm: Sparky’s One Stop reported a subject had not returned to pay his fuel bill after his check had been denied. The officer is investigating.
10:11pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 106 West Washington Street. The business was secure.
