author-talk-series

The Jefferson Public Library invites everyone to their next author talk series tomorrow.

Library Director Jane Millard says Assistant Greene County Attorney Laura Snider will be talking about her three published books based on the fictional character and public defender Ashley Mongomery.

“She’s got a busy life. She’s written three courtroom crime type dramas, one book builds on another, and the fourth one is at the publisher. We don’t know how many more are going to be in this series. It’s open to the public, we’re going to serve some refreshments, we’re going to let Laura tell us all about being a mystery writer.”

Millard notes Snider is a Topeka, Kansas native who moved to Des Moines in 2006 where she earned a law degree from Drake University in 2009. She became the assistant county attorney in 2019 on a part time basis and continues to do her private law practice.

The free event will take place at 5pm on the third floor courtroom of the Greene County Courthouse. Autographed copies of her books will be available for purchase as well.
